Pretty Moon last night

Late yesterday evening I looked out the window and noticed that the Moon looked a bit odd, or different. It was very low in the sky and instead of being the usual white/grey/slightly yellowish colour, it was very bright and dark yellow.
The fact that is was a tiny crescent Moon only made it even cooler. So I took a couple of pictures of the scene (the windows are facing west).

The first picture shows the entire scene and you can see the crescent shape and compare the colour of the Moon to the sky.

The next is a close up of the Moon taken slightly later. You can see how bright and yellow the Moon really was.

The last picture is really zoomed in on the Moon. Isn't that thing amazing?
